Welcome to Exploring Oz in Style! We do hope you enjoy our blog – reading about our adventures and viewing the images we present to you as we travel around this beautiful country of ours. We are planning some awesome trips including the big one – the lap around Australia – where we plan to spend 12 months to 2 years on the road.
We have a few aims for this blog – though we do find that this is ever evolving as we gather more experience.
We will also be travelling with 2 of our 4 dogs – 2 Jack Russells (Pépe and Bella). We have 2 larger dogs at home as well (a Rottie – Jamaica – and a Border Collie – Poppy) but it seems a tad cruel to bring them along when Poppy needs to run as much as possible and we can’t leave just 1 at home.
UPDATE: Sadly, we lost Jamaica in April this year – very suddenly and we miss her every day. As our other dogs are all close to 7yo, we take them as much as possible now though living in the NT that provides somewhat of a challenge due to all the national park areas up here.
We have joined the Troopcarriers of Australia page and apparently we are now known as Troopy Legends with their own UHF Callsign and Channel – Troopy Legend UHF 27. Our personal callsign is Holdfast 3-2 and we can usually be found on the usual channels.
So, I hope you enjoy our blog and if you’d like to subscribe, please feel free to do so.
See you around Oz – oh, and if you happen to recognise the Troopy and/or camper trailer from the images in this blog, please feel free to pop over and say hi to us. You may recognise us by the ‘Follow the Sapper’ sticker on the back of the trailer. We are always happy to have a chat with like minded people.
