Photography Gear

I shoot with a variety of cameras and, as will all professional photographers, a multitude of equipment and accessories accompany these cameras, including a Manfrotto tripod, light meter, B&W ND 10 stop filter, a variety of graduated filters, and a host of other accessories.

I shoot with 2 bodies – the main being my Canon 5d MkIII and the 2nd body is my MkII.  Lenses include the following:

  • 35mm f/1.4L USM
  • 50mm f/1.4
  • 16-35mm
  • 24-70mm
  • 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro
  • 70-200 f/2.8 L II USM
  • 300mm

I also shoot with the amazing Fujifilm XE-1 which I took to Europe for 6 weeks travelling.  She is an awesome camera and has the feel of an old retro film camera.  Lenses for this camera include:

  • 35mm
  • 18-55mm
  • 55-200mm
  • 12mm Zeiss lens

I also have 2 film cameras:  Bronica Medium Format and a Konica 35mm.  I adore film for its amazing detail and plan on using Brian (the Bronica) for all my fine art portraiture on our trips.

My last camera is the camera on my phone – a Sony Xperia Z.  As a famous photographer once said when asked what his best camera was: “the camera I have with me”.

On the BT50, will be mounted 2 x Go-Pro Hero 3+ Black Edition cameras.  One will be mounted on the bull bar and the other underneath the car, by the back wheels pointing through the back of the car to the camper trailer.

As well as this equipment, I cart around with me my Manfrotto Medium Tripod with ball head, lighting, softboxes, umbrellas and the various stands etc.

I use an iMac 27″ computer at home and a 15″ Macbook Pro Retina Display for carting around with me.

I use Lightroom 4 and 5 and Photoshop CS5 and CS6 for editing as well as LRTimelapse 3 for my time-lapse videos.
